Your day begins as our professional English-speaking guide greets you in the lobby of your Suzhou hotel, holding a sign that reads “Your Way Holiday.” After a warm welcome, you’ll set off in a private vehicle toward the southwestern edge of Suzhou, where the legendary Lake Taihu meets some of the region’s most stunning natural landscapes. Today’s tour offers a refreshing journey through two of Suzhou’s most tranquil ecological destinations: Taihu National Wetland Park and Baimajian Ecological Scenic Area.

Your first destination is the Taihu National Wetland Park, a vast ecological reserve spread across the shoreline of Lake Taihu. According to local legend, a white horse once emerged from a mountain spring here and vanished into the mist, giving the ravine its name—“White Horse Stream.”

Your hike begins along a shaded trail that winds through bamboo groves and camphor trees, with water trickling alongside the path and birds singing overhead. The elevation is moderate, making it accessible to all visitors. Along the way, your guide will share folk tales and local myths connected to the area, as well as point out medicinal plants, wildflowers, and subtle architectural elements like stone bridges and wooden pavilions that reflect traditional Jiangnan design.
