Introduction
Gaochun Old Street, also named Gaochun Chunxi Old Street is located in Gaochun, Nanjing. It is a national AAA tourist scenic zone, the best-preserved old street since the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty in Jiangsu Province. Gaochun Old Street is more than 345 meters long and 3.5 meters wide now, is the most important central street at the ancient town of Chunxi. The street is lined on both sides with old-styled shops selling goods and souvenirs. There are also other tourist attractions such as the Qianlong Old Well and the Guanwang Temple. The shape of Gaochun Old Street looks like a money pocket, means gathering wealth into the pocket. The locals praised the old street as the "the epitome of oriental civilization" and the "treasure of ancient architecture art".
Gaochun is known for its traditional style shopping area known as Gaochun Old Street. The streets here are very much different from the avenues in Nanjing.
